With the likes of Saracens and now even Gloucester changing their pitches to a more artificial solutions, the trend has made its way to local Rugby, with Cheltenham Rugby Club making the decision to install a new artificial pitch.

The decision follows a trend in recent years for sports clubs and facilities to look at a more artificial alternative because the benefits are so high. The pitches virtually need no maintenance which reduces costs massively, and the surfaces are that perfect, playing on them must be like playing on carpet.

Cheltenham Rugby Clubs new playing surface is set for official opening later this summer in time for the 2018/2019 campaign.
